Terms of sale
Last updated 6 August 20261. About these terms
These terms apply to purchases from The Bargain Hub website. By placing an order, you confirm that the order details are correct and that you have legal capacity to transact. Nothing in these terms excludes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African consumer law.
2. Products and condition
Products may be new or used. The condition label, description, photographs, included accessories and disclosed defects form part of the product description. Photographs of a unique used item are intended to show that specific item. Minor colour differences can arise from displays and lighting. Please ask questions before purchasing if a characteristic is important to you.
3. Prices and VAT
Prices are in South African rand. Checkout displays the product subtotal, delivery charge and VAT where VAT is enabled. We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before accepting an order; if payment has already been received, you may accept the corrected transaction or receive a refund.
4. Orders, stock and acceptance
The cart does not reserve stock. Submitting an order creates a payment attempt and does not by itself guarantee acceptance. For scarce or single-stock products, the order is confirmed only when payment is successfully verified and stock is allocated. If simultaneous activity causes a paid order that cannot be fulfilled, we will contact you and arrange a full refund or an agreed alternative.
5. Payment
Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may include PayFast, EFT or cash. PayFast processes payment information under its own terms and privacy notice. An EFT or cash order is not paid until an administrator verifies receipt. Failed or cancelled payment attempts can expire and stock can be released.
6. Offers
An offer is private and does not reserve a product until accepted and paid within the stated period. The seller may accept, reject or counter an offer. Offer limits, expiry periods and any payment deadline displayed with the product form part of these terms.
7. Delivery and collection
The Delivery and collection policy forms part of these terms. You must provide accurate contact, access and address information. Delivery availability and price are confirmed at checkout. Collection instructions and any security requirements will be supplied for confirmed orders.
8. Returns, refunds and warranties
The Returns and refunds policy forms part of these terms. Statutory rights regarding defective, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods remain applicable. A disclosed defect or ordinary wear consistent with an accurately disclosed used-item condition is not hidden merely because the buyer later dislikes it.
9. Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for securing your account and for activity conducted through it. Do not interfere with the site, submit fraudulent information, abuse offers or notifications, scrape inventory unreasonably, or attempt unauthorised access. We may restrict an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
10. Records, notices and complaints
Your profile provides order records and invoices. Keep copies for your records. Contact details and the complaint escalation route are set out on Contact us. Electronic notices may be sent to the email address or account notification channel associated with your account.
11. Liability and law
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. This does not limit liability or remedies that cannot legally be limited. South African law applies, and disputes may be referred to an appropriate court, regulator or ombud.
